Dr Whiting on Calcium, Absorption, and Osteoporosis

phoenixnutritionals.com (CLICK HERE) For years, medical doctors have touted the benefit of taking calcium and perhaps a magnesium supplement to slow down the progression of bone loss, a condition called osteoporosis. They have been reluctant however, to go so far as to say that these minerals can prevent or improve osteoporosis. This is because early studies indicated that taking calcium did not effectively increase bone density in menopausal and post-menopausal women. Recent studies however show that osteoporosis and bone loss can indeed be controlled and even reversed by the right combination of calcium, magnesium and select trace minerals. Studies conducted on osteoporosis and bone loss patients at the University of California at San Diego, have shown that when calcium and magnesium are combined with the right ratio of the trace minerals boron, manganese, copper, zinc and most recently, strontium, the return of calcium ions to bone tissue accelerates as much as ten-fold. Further, the calcium and magnesium used for osteoporosis and bone loss must be an acidified, chelated form for maximum absorption. Studies repeatedly show that a combination of citrates and malates provide the best absorption to combat bone loss and clinical osteoporosis. Alternatives to potentially dangerous drugs for osteoporosis include the right forms of calcium together with key trace minerals such as zinc, copper, manganese and strontium. As we age, bone loss and osteoporosis become an increasing

dont forget to consume saturated fats (natural) with calcium and vita d and other fat soluable fat vitamins and minerals.

sat fats allow it to be incorporated into bone, that is why low fat diets(esp low saturated fat) cause osteroperosis. especially thin woman or menopausal thin
    woman.

    Hello, Dr Whiting
I have a question. The company that I work for made a successfull experiment 2 years ago. They obtained nano-calcium from horse bone. this calcium has a white color and in powder form. Is acidic calcium? Also, what kind of products can we manufacture? can we sell it as it is? what are the markets that buy calcium like ours? Thank you.

We include organic strontium as part of all of our calcium formulas. Due to its ability to increase calcium to bone. We do not recommend super high does of any minerals as this can imbalance body chemistry.

Thank you for your videos! I was wondering what do you think about the high does stontium supplement? You have not videos on the subject.
    Thank you!

vitamin k is crucial for “cementing” calcium to bone. Tezstosterone in men is also a major player.

ca is important for bones. osteoclasts. it is rgulated by pth. pth increases ca conc. hence hyper pth

ca has to be acidic to be absorbed. age casues loss of acidifying ability. hence absorption of all medicines that are absorbed from stomach.

Thanks for responding. I’ll give the liquid calcium a try. Thanks.

  15. healthyinformation says:

The only people saying that taking supplements is bad are the drug companies!!! Calciumn is very difficult to absorb so crushing is a good idea. You can also obtain a liquid calcium, which is the one we use with our clients here. It is available from the phoenix nutritionals website.

  16. 24ducks99pigs says:

Thanks dr.whiting. But can you answer me this-
Why are they saying taking supplements are bad?
Is it ok for me to take calcium?
One more thing, I always crush the tablets into powder and drink with orange juice. I have half a tablet in the morning with food, and half in the evening. Is this a good method?
    Please reply. Thank you.

  17. couerdalene says:

strontium should be taken seperately from calcium because they compete for absorption. To gain maximum absorption of each, they should be taken a few hours apart.
